Hiremaid Cleaning Services

Regular Cleaning Policy & Terms and Conditions

To ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable service for both our clients and cleaners, the following terms apply to all regular and fortnightly cleaning services.

1. Cleaning Equipment and Products

Clients are responsible for providing all cleaning products and equipment required for each regular cleaning visit.

The minimum equipment required includes:

• A working vacuum cleaner (a Henry-type vacuum cleaner is preferred, although any fully functioning vacuum cleaner is acceptable).
• A long-handled mop and bucket.
• Suitable cleaning products for the property, including bathroom cleaner, kitchen cleaner, disinfectant, glass cleaner, floor cleaner, cloths, sponges, and any other products required for the clean.

If a client chooses to provide a vacuum cleaner other than a Henry-type model, Hiremaid Cleaning Services will not be held responsible if the vacuum cleaner does not remove dirt, dust, pet hair, or debris effectively.

If the required cleaning equipment or products are unavailable, inadequate, or not in working order when our cleaner arrives, we may be unable to complete the service safely or to our usual standard.

2. Failure to Provide Required Equipment

If our cleaner attends the property and the required cleaning equipment and products are not available, the cleaning service may be cancelled at the visit.

As the appointment time has been reserved exclusively for the client, the full cleaning fee will remain payable.

3. Cancellation Policy

Clients who wish to cancel or reschedule a booked cleaning appointment must provide at least 3 days’ (72 hours’) notice before the scheduled cleaning date.

Cancellations made with less than 3 days’ notice will be charged at the full cost of the booked cleaning service.

This policy is necessary because the allocated time has been reserved for the client, preventing us from offering the appointment to another customer. Late cancellations result in lost income for both the allocated cleaner and the company.

4. Pausing Regular Cleaning

Clients on a weekly or fortnightly cleaning schedule may pause their regular service for up to 3 weeks without affecting their regular booking.

If the service is paused for more than 3 weeks (including one month or longer), the property will require a one-off deep clean before regular cleaning visits can resume. This ensures the property is returned to a suitable standard for ongoing maintenance cleaning.

5. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking with Hiremaid Cleaning Services, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

These terms form part of the service agreement between Hiremaid Cleaning Services and the client.
