Terms & Conditions

Regular Cleaning Policy & Terms and Conditions

To ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable service for both our clients and cleaners, the following terms apply to all regular and fortnightly cleaning services.

1

Cleaning Equipment and Products

Clients normally provide the cleaning products and equipment required for regular, fortnightly and one-off cleaning. HireMaid Cleaning Services may provide products or equipment where this has been specifically agreed in advance, for an additional agreed charge. Cleaning supplies are not automatically included in the service.

The equipment normally required includes: a safe, fully functioning vacuum cleaner (a Henry-type vacuum is a preferred example, though any suitable, safe and fully functioning equivalent is acceptable), a long-handled mop and bucket (Vileda SuperMocio-style equipment is a preferred example, not a required brand), suitable microfibre cloths and sponges, and cleaning products for the property, including bathroom cleaner, kitchen cleaner, disinfectant, glass cleaner, floor cleaner, and any specialist products required for the property's surfaces.

If some products or consumables are missing, HireMaid will assess what is available and decide whether the cleaning visit can reasonably and safely proceed. Where the visit proceeds, the client accepts that missing or inadequate products may affect the result that can be achieved.

2

Where Missing Products or Equipment Prevent the Clean

Where the required cleaning products or equipment are unavailable, inadequate or not in working order, and this prevents the cleaning visit from proceeding, 80% of the booked fee applies. The appointment time has been reserved exclusively for the client and cannot be reallocated at short notice.

Cleaners should not be required to use unsafe or faulty equipment. If equipment is unsafe, some or all tasks may be unable to proceed.

3

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Clients who wish to cancel or reschedule a booked cleaning appointment should provide at least 72 hours' notice before the scheduled cleaning date. Cancellations or rescheduling made with less than 72 hours' notice are normally charged at the full booked service fee, because the allocated time has been reserved for the client and prevents us offering the appointment to another customer.

HireMaid management may review genuine exceptional circumstances at its discretion and decide whether a late-cancellation charge should be waived or reduced. A waiver is not automatic and cannot be promised in advance.

4

Pausing Regular Cleaning

Clients on a weekly or fortnightly cleaning schedule may pause their regular service for up to 3 weeks without affecting their regular booking. If the service is paused for more than 3 weeks (including one month or longer), the property will require a one-off deep clean before regular cleaning visits can resume. This ensures the property is returned to a suitable standard for ongoing maintenance cleaning.

A cleaning visit requested once a month is treated and charged as a One-Off Clean rather than at a weekly or fortnightly regular-cleaning rate.

5

Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking with HireMaid Cleaning Services, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These terms form part of the service agreement between HireMaid Cleaning Services and the client. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to providing you with a reliable, professional, and high-quality cleaning.
